My day job is Data & Technology Manager at Michigan United. We are a statewide 501c3/c4 and you can read the rest here.
A few months back, we were looking at changing membership databases and ActionBuilder came up as an option. It's a cool tool, but we ran out of time prior to the election to make the move.
What you see below is a bot I created as a supplement to the training program we were planning. I took all of their training material as well as the transcripts from a series of training videos. If you're a non-profit type that knows the platform, take a crack at how well it performs.
The #1 Thing to Know About Bots
Ask it to recap its' instructions, so you know how well it's built. Instructions govern how the bot interacts with you. Also, throughout the conversation, ask the bot to confirm what it just said and add detail; no matter how detailed an answer it just gave you. A common problem with bots is they answer too fast. They miss things. Asking for a confirmation is like asking a person for a full explanation.
